Would give 0 if I could. Had trouble finding it as they had moved. Arrived at 9 pm (flight arrival from Tanzania) no one answered the door bell, no answer by phone either. Had to stay elsewhere at the last minute! I want a refund and compensation!!

I booked this very last minute because I couldn't stand the heat in Zurich. So yes, I booked the cheapest option to get to shower and relax. I was aware about the bad star rating + review, but I thought because it's Switzerland "how worst could it be?", right? I was wrong, I think this was the worst accommodation I have ever encountered - even a hostel in secondary city in developing country is much better than this. First of all, check in place was shady (as in, no customer, dark and no live kind of bar) and the staff was not even nice. She asked my religion after seeing my passport (which maybe harmless for her, but still not a thing to ask to your guest). Secondly, the check in location is not even close to the apartment. Need to walk at least 10 minutes. Third, the entrance, stairs and hallway of the apartment is so narrow. Forget it if you have the big luggage, there's nowhere to store. Photos that you see in reservation website is totally not aligned with the reality. The common room is messy, not clean and not even functioning well. I booked a bunk bed, and there's practically no space to store luggage nor hang my clothes. Locker is so small, it can only store a purse and a handbag. My bed was at the top, and I could barely sit because my head hit the ceiling (and I'm not even that tall, just 1.6 meters) I couldn't find clean towel, and the bathroom floor was kind of humid. I don't feel safe to take shower there, it's literally just an almost-broken lock away for someone to open the door. I ended up not taking a shower and leave immediately. I usually have moderate toleration level and definitely would think twice to spend money, but I was so desperate that I decided to book another hotel nearby (with 2x cost) at the same day, just to compensate the bad experience I was having. I definitely would not recommend, especially for a woman traveling alone.

Ok, let me start off by saying that I booked this place for me and my friends under the impression that it was a HOTEL. Firstly, why is their reception at a bar down the street? I soon learned the second that I got there that it was, in fact, a hostel. I was checked in by Linda very easily and we went to our room. While we were showering, Linda barges in using her key (without knocking!!!) and screams at us saying that "You have to leave immediately!" and that "You do not have the room tonight!" when we clearly did because she CHECKED US IN. We were then given two minutes to collect all of our belongings and get dressed after we had settled in -- meanwhile, Linda is yelling at us the entire time. We were told we were going to be thrown out on the street with no other place to stay. Luckily, her henchman told us he could work out a deal where we could potentially stay in another room, but that we had to let him handle it because Linda was so agitated by our presence. When we went downstairs (with wet hair into the freezing Zurich weather) and hauled our suitcases back to the reception with the intent of telling Linda that we were going to try and find another place to stay for the night. However, she told us that we could not have a refund because her computer said that we were supposed to stay there the following night (despite the fact that she successfully found my name and checked me in for that current night). She said that we would still have to pay because this whole situation was my fault. Her henchman then got involved and started speaking in Spanish (which we could not understand) to try and work out a deal with Linda. After a minor and very unprofessional screaming match, he told us that we would not be charged for the incorrect night and that we could have another shared room in this HOSTEL even though we originally paid for a private room. After realizing that were trapped into staying here, we regretfully made the trek back down the street to our new room. At checkout, we did not even see anyone at reception. We had to knock on the door until the cleaning lady came and took our key without any questions. Sorry that it took me a month to write this review. I stayed here in early November, but I needed the time to cool down from this experience and collect my thoughts.

We reached earlier than the checked in time and we were told that luggage storage prior checking in is not possible and we had to go back to the train station to keep our luggage, with an extra cost for the luggage storage! The staff is an old lady who doesn’t speak English talked to us rudely and chased us away while we were trying to contact the owner for help. A few passerby asked if there is anything they can help except this old lady that didn’t show her sympathy! Email and whatsapp the owner and the only replied was ‘hi’ with no solution after an hour. When checking in, we were told that they have no room for us, even if we have our reservation online! Worst in Switzerland and will never book this place again!

The hotel is little bit noisy because it is sorrounded by bars and restaurant.. Good location and very accessible in everything.. about 5 mins walk in zurich hb main and just walking distance with famous tourist spots in the city..
